null

not "the raw user agent string" (which would be the
String.Empty

for
the latter) as the documentation
claims.
So, turns out you have to add 'md5' as a local socket
authentication method to your pg_hba.conf
if you want phpBB3 to run on a local PostgreSQL instance.
According to this, this is illegal. Doncha love the government regulation?
Wrangling with installing Ubuntu on an Acer AcpireOne netbook, and had no end of troubles with it. To start with, my school uses SafeConnect NAC which is an absolute crap-for-crap insecure system, but has the decided disadvantage of being impossible to get running with the console mode netinstaller. Since I needed encrypted LVM, I had to get the Ubuntu 8.10 Intrepid Ibex alternate install on a flash drive. Here's what I found:
isotostick.sh
has undefined
problems before even building the drive image. UNetBootIn takes perfectly good
ISOs and crufts them into netinstalls. The manual syslinux install
fails to fool the installer into believing in the fake
cdrom0
.sdb
. This
won't cause any problems when the drive becomes sda
at reboot,
though, because everything's referenced by UUID.I'm lonely, but I don't like the vast majority of humanity, nor am I particularly socially inclined.

Ever an auspicious date, Friday the thirteenth saw a sold-out house for our Let's Harmonize Radio Hour at the Banksia.
CHIEF JUSTICE ROBERTS: What is — what is reasonable about a total ban on possession?
MR. DELLINGER: What is reasonable about a total ban on possession is that it’s a ban only on the possession of one kind of weapon, of handguns, that's been considered especially — especially dangerous.
CHIEF JUSTICE ROBERTS: So if you have a law that prohibits the possession of books, it’s all right if you allow the possession of newspapers?
Of all tyrannies a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron’s cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Oh, was there not, from the first, more poison in thy nature than in mine?

The Book Tavern, on Augusta, GA's Broad Street, is the only decent used book dealer in the Aiken-Augusta metro area. (And they came through when I urgently needed a copy of Moby Dick earlier today. If you can't imagine how one might urgently need a copy of Moby Dick, I suggest you may be underappreciative of books in general.)
Feminists need to stop imperiously assuming they speak for all women: even all otherwise socially-liberal women. Not the purview simply of conservatism, a rational approach to gender is more widespread among women than the feminists would have us believe.
Why should I trouble myself about you or them; what right have you to disturb my peace?

I think I've figured out what it is exactly that I like about JiffyLube. It's like having servants.
